If you have RC4 LumenDim devices made before mid-2018, they use legacy BRX radio modules that are not capable of CRMX2. If the LumenRadio CRMX Utility finds BRX rather than TiMo, the RF hardware module can be replaced. Contact RC4 Wireless for additional information.
Note that RC4 LumenDimIO transceivers cannot be updated to CRMX2. Those devices are now obsolete (but continue to work fine for single-universe transmission and reception).
Step by Step:
1. Download the Lumen CRMX2 Utility here: https://lumenradio.com/support/?protocol=wireless-dmx&category=crmx-oem-modules&post_id=1956
2. Plug a CodeLoader cable into your Lumen device’s DMX port and into a USB port on a computer
3. Open the Lumen CRMX2 Utility
4. Hold the RF Connect button of your device while applying power
5. Your device should appear in the utility (Look for the “TIMO RX RDM” followed by a number)
6. Select “Choose Firmware File”
7. Look for “TIMO RX 1.1.0.1” and hit Open
8. Your device should begin updating
9. You may now update more devices or close the program
