non-linear dimming curve

A non-linear dimming curve is also called a logarithmic dimming curve or dimming profile.

The non-linear dimming curve simulates the visual response of the human eye in regards to brightness perception, particularly with light sources that are not inherently linear on their own. There are a variety of non-linear dimming curves including Inverse Square Law (ISL), which is useful when working with LEDs and LED tape.
